VANCOUVER SFU SUMMER CAMPS ACTIVITIES   Summer Camp - Simon Fraser University - Residential And Host Family Afternoon On Campus Activities Three days per week students take part in activities held on campus. Students will rotate daily through different activities so that over the summer they will have the opportunity to try all of the following:

  • Archery
  • Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Hiking
  • Martial Arts
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Hiking
  • Swimming
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Volleyball
  • Soccer
  • E-mail
  • Football
  • Scavenger Hunts
  • Skin care and Beauty classes
Project Period Junior students (ages 7-12) chose one project for each week and work on that project several days per week during project period. Project options include:
  • Dance
  • Acting
  • Year Book
  • Ice Breaking Games
  • Kayaking in the pool
  • Talent Show preparation
  • Soccer Tournament
  • Disco preparation
Evening Activities
  • Disco
  • Movie
  • Game Show Night
  • Song writing
  • Arts and crafts

  • Capture the Flag
  • Tennis Tournament
Teen students enjoy at least three evening activities off campus each week including beach nights, shopping, movies, and festivals. Students living off campus spend evenings with their host families. Off Campus Days and Excursions Two afternoons and one full day per week students go off campus for sightseeing, shopping, cultural events and exciting activities. Some of the places students visit during the summer include:
  • Whistler Resort
  • Victoria
  • City Water Slide Park
  • Fresh Water Lakes for Canoeing
  • Vancouver Aquarium
  • Grouse Mountain
  • Suspension Bridge
  • City parks and beaches
Optional Activities Sundays are “Option Days” for all students living on campus. Teen students also have one optional off campus evening activity each week. Optional activities are not included in the price of the programme but are made available for students that would like to try them at their own expense. Some of the Sunday options and Teen optional evening activities include:
  • White Water Rafting (teens only)
  • Horse Riding
  • Amusement Park
  • Seattle outlet shopping trip (overnight)
  • Whale Watching (option offered on Victoria trip)
  • Sea Kayaking lessons
  • Dinner boat cruise
  • Restaurants and Theatres
  • Laser Tag
  • Crash Crawlies Fun Centre
