It is my first day at Tamwood International school. I follow the other students into a living room with big windows and a world map on the wall. I am a little nervous and take a seat on a couch next to an asian boy. “Where are you from?”, he asks me with a friendly smile on his face.
It was kind of hard. Let’s be sincere, I’m certainly not the most sporty girl and maybe a little bit lazy, so If I could probably everybody can and I definitely recommend giving it a try. It’s always good to be nearby the nature.
Time is passing so fast and that’s because I’m having a really good time here. Even if Toronto is a huge city in my eyes, I’ve never felt lost. People here are so friendly and helpful. And I’m so happy that I chose Toronto and Tamwood because it’s felt a little bit like home the first day I arrived here.
As a student at Tamwood I can tell you that it’s a really nice school. All the teachers are friendly, funny and they only want you to feel cozy and like a full-fledged member. When I arrived I had some problems but they were always ready to help me.
My name is Ben and I`m 17 years old and I came to Canada for improving my English. Canada is such a nice destination to travel to. I would recommend it to everybody who wants to travel to magnificent places. I`ve already had a lot of beautiful experiences, like hiking, doing sports and sight-seeing.
I spent 4 weeks in Tamwood and in Vancouver, and they’ve been the most intense and beautiful 4 weeks in my whole life. It’s not easy writing in a way so the reader can understand what I’ve really felt, because every feeling was unique and very intense, but I’ll try my best.
I arrived in Vancouver on July 2th 2016, the first person I met was Adriana Cavaleri. She is my homestay mother. She is from Domanico, a province of Consenza in Italy. She enjoys gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, walking and taking care of her small dog named “Bear”.
Hi There, My name is Luis Eduardo, I`m from Brazil and I`m here to share my one year experience in Vancouver Ok, sounds impossible sharing one year in a new country, in 500 words or so, but I`ll give a few highlights. I hope you like it.
