University Preparation

The University Preparation curriculum is one of the most valuable and exciting summer teen English camps in North America. In this program, we offer high school students a comprehensive program to prepare them to apply and succeed in a North American university while enjoying a complete North American adventure. Students learn the essential strategies and skills needed for university coursework. Topics include managing time, taking useful class notes, using textbooks effectively, and preparing for exams. Afternoons and weekends consist of visits to post-secondary institutions for campus tours and talks from the admission teams as well as cultural visits, and educational and recreational activities.
Offered in Toronto, this camp program provides campers with an immersive experience, preparing them for a future academic life in North America!
Weekly Schedule
This program consists of 20 x 45 minute English lessons per week. This includes professional instruction in academic skills for university settings, fun and educational cultural events, sightseeing and social activities, as well as organized instruction in a range of sports, creative, and cultural activities.
Designed specifically for closed groups, this programs academic skills training includes: presentation skills, reading/using university libraries, summarizing/paraphrasing/synthesizing/critiquing, critical thinking, discussion skills/group work, research skills/ethics, essay and report writing, referencing and bibliographies, note and exam taking skills, as well as tips for success in the post-secondary school application and selection process.
Participants can register for Week 1 or Week 2 or both:

Admission Requirements
Ages: 15-17 Years
English Level: Intermediate to Advanced. You should be open to learning in an intercultural environment and motivated to use English with our camp team leaders and their peers. Language of instruction will be in English only.
Documents: You must have a valid passport and be eligible to enter Canada as a tourist. They’ll either need a tourist visa, an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or in some cases, only their passport. Check with travel authorization your child needs here.
Vaccination Status: Every camper has to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entry to Canada.
