Can international students get a work permit in Canada? Yes!

Internationals can get a work permit to work in Canada if they are studying in Canada in a co-op work and study program at a college or university. Students at Tamwood Careers can do a 48-week study and work diploma program and be eligible for a work permit that will allow them to work full-time (40 hours/week) for their 6-month co-op term.

Tamwood Careers students can also be eligible for a post-graduate work permit (PGWP) if they transfer their credits from Tamwood to one of Tamwood’s public partner institutions. By studying at Tamwood, you can apply for admission with advanced standing to one of our academic pathway partners. Upon completion of your program at the pathway partner college/university, you will be eligible for a PGWP/Post-Grad Work Permit.
