Whistler Camps at Whistler Base II

Are you ready for adventure? Whistler is where you’ll find it!

Campers attending the Tamwood Summer Camp at Whistler Base II do a variety of structured, cultural, recreational, social and sightseeing activities each week.

These activities, events and excursions can be grouped into four categories—Day Time (Creative, Sports, Teambuilding, or STEAM), Evening, Excursions, and Optional.

  Campus Features

Tamwood’s Whistler Base II is located in the Whistler Village, close to everything! Students will take part in activities at various facilities located throughout the village.

  Student Fitness

Campus recreation facilities include gyms, a pool, sports fields, and computer labs with free internet access.

  Campus Eats

All meals are served at Blackcomb Base II cafeteria located close to residence. Residential campers will receive 3 hot meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Meals include 1 main, 2 sides, dessert and a drink (ex. Chicken, fries, salad, cookie and juice). Self-arranged campers will receive only lunch. Lunch box meal and restaurant dinner provided to all campers on full day excursions.

  Accommodations

Each suite has 2 bedrooms with one bunk bed per room (sleeps two people). Campers will have a single room or share a room with a camper of the same age from another country. Each suite is equipped with a common lounge and a bathroom.

Security is provided around the clock by Tamwood live-in staff and campus security. Security key card entry to the building and to the student rooms.

Laundry service is provided once per week (included in the camp fee).

Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb resort boasts two high peaks for your snow adventures: Whistler Mountain (2,182 meters) and Blackcomb Mountain (2,284 meters). Thanks to the ideal conditions on Blackcomb’s Horstman Glacier, you can even ski and snowboard during the summer. This makes it one of the best ski resort areas in North America! Other popular pastimes include hiking, snowshoeing, snow tubing, and mountain biking.

Peak 2 Peak Whistler

Peak 2 Peak Gondola

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola provides an elevated and exciting ride between the two mountains encompassing Whistler Blackcomb resort. Hop on the gondola on a clear day and get wowed by the superb views of snow-capped hills, glistening alpine lakes and the dense forest landscape. In winter, you can also use it as a quick connection between your ski or snowboard runs at Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain. Master your fear of heights and you will be in for the 11-minutes ride of a lifetime!

Whether you have spent the morning busy learning English at Tamwood College or on your feet all day, rushing down the steep slopes on your skis, snowboard or mountain bike—it’s finally time to relax, refuel and refresh! Après means celebrating another day in the mountains, enjoying delicious food and drinks and spending time with your fellow adventurers. Whistler offers tons of après venues, doesn’t matter if you want to try craft beer, watch sports or dance the night away!
