My Time at Tamwood

My name is Ben and I’m 17 years old and I came to Canada for improving my English. Canada is such a nice destination to travel to. I would recommend it to everybody who wants to travel to magnificent places. I’ve already had a lot of beautiful experiences, like hiking, doing sports, and sight-seeing. In this blog, I want to share my greatest experiences with you. I took the best three ones and I will explain now:

The Hike on Lions-Mountain:
My roommate Gauthier and me started our trip on the 13th of August 2016. Waking up at 5:45 am was very difficult but otherwise, we wouldn’t have reached taking the bus to North Vancouver. We arrived there approximately one hour later. Then we walked, walked, and walked. Our aim: the summit of Lions-mountain! After a very strong hike of 7 hours and 3 different summits, we reached our destination. The scenes were breathtaking and we were so happy to have got it! Hiking is very healthy for your body and your brain. It helps to clear your thoughts and to distract yourself from daily life.

Vancouver Aquarium:
The aquarium is located in Stanley Park, the biggest park in Vancouver. After I took the bus, line 19, which brought me to the parking lot of the aquarium, I had to walk five minutes to get to the entrance. I was surprised to see all these amazing animals, like snakes, frogs, fish, parrots, sharks, and turtles. I saw real whales like belugas or dolphins. Seeing the “Beluga-show” is a really good idea! Walking through the aquarium is such a nice experience because you are able to “travel” around the world within 2.5 – 3 hours.

Lookout-Tower Vancouver
The only thing in can do, is to recommend the lookout-tower for everybody who likes to see things from a different perspective! You are in a height of 96 meters and then you are able to look over the whole city of Vancouver! The view is amazing, but you shouldn’t be afraid of heights! It`s quite high and standing in a height of bird, who is flying is a little bit scary.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and I hope you will travel to some of these locations! I would really like to hearing from your experiences. Maybe you want to share and recommend them too as I did!
