Accessibility

Tamwood is committed to offering access to education for abled and disabled international students alike and serves as an accessible workplace for staff with disabilities.

Tamwood’s Vancouver campus and its facilities (washrooms, common areas, workstations, etc.) are fully accessible by elevator and ground-level entrances.

In 2018, the Vancouver campus was assessed by the Rick Hansen Foundation and achieved a certification level of RHF Accessibility Certified from the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) program.

Areas Covered by Certification
Tamwood International College (Vancouver) is approximately 10500 square ft. / 975.48 square meters. The assessment was performed on the second and third floors of the building; this included 13 classrooms, a large open-plan area, administration area, washroom facilities, lounge spaces, and offices for senior management. Parking is not under the control of the college and was excluded from the scope. Students of the college are expected to use the stairs to access the second and third floors. An arrangement is made for all those students and staff who need elevator service to access the college; an elevator key is provided for them.

If you have any questions about accessibility, please feel free to reach out to our campus staff.
