Tamwood staff will handle all necessary documentation and claim submissions on behalf of the students.

  • Coverage Limit: Up to $2,000,000 CAD per policy period.

  • Key Benefits:

    • Hospital & Physician Services: Full coverage for hospital stays and doctor fees.

    • Prescription Medication: 30-day supply included.

    • Emergency Transportation: Includes ground ambulance and air evacuation if necessary.

    • Dental Care: Up to $4,000 for dental injuries.

    • Mental Health Support: Includes trauma counselling (6 sessions) and psychiatric hospitalization.

  • Seeking Care:

    • Students have access to Mobile Doctor, allowing them to connect with a physician via phone or computer anytime.

    • For non-emergencies, students will be directed to local walk-in clinics.

    • In case of a serious emergency, 911 will be called immediately for hospital transport.

Support for Students:

Tamwood staff assist students with accessing medical care and handling insurance claims.
Parents and agents are not required to manage the process.

USA Camps Insurance

Students attending Tamwood camps in the USA are covered by a comprehensive insurance plan with access to the UnitedHealthcare provider network in the USA.

24/7 Telemedicine Access

  • Coverage Limit: Up to $5,000,000 USD maximum limit ($250,000 per illness or injury).

  • Key Benefits:

    • Medical Expenses: 100% coverage for eligible inpatient and outpatient medical services.

    • Telemedicine (Teladoc): Students have free 24/7 access to virtual doctor consultations for minor or non-urgent medical needs while in the USA.

    • Emotional Wellness (DialCare): Virtual counseling services are included to support students’ mental wellness during their stay.

    • Emergency Room: Emergency room visits for injuries are covered at 100%.

      Please note: a $350 deductible applies for illness-related ER visits that do not result in hospital admission.

    • Travel Assistance: Coverage includes lost or stolen baggage and personal papers, with a combined limit of up to $500.

  • Seeking Care:

    • Tamwood uses the UnitedHealthcare provider network within the USA, allowing direct billing in many cases.

    • For immediate, non-emergency care, students will use local Urgent Care centers or walk-in clinics.
